Conestoga Pioneers JV built a five-run lead in the third inning and then held off Marple Newtown’s charge for an 8-6 victory on Wednesday.

Marple Newtown loaded the bases in the final inning of the failed comeback when Jody Durante dug down deep to close the game.

Bobby Wynn and Blaise Rantanen (pictured) each collected two hits, including a solo home run by Rantanen to lead off the game for Conestoga.
