Conestoga Varsity lost the home opener to Garnet Valley 3 to 0 in extra innings. Angus Mayock pitched six strong innings, striking out 9 and allowing only one hit, but the Stoga bats could not get anything going, and Garnet Valley took the lead in the eighth inning to win the game.
